]]> Comment on Kayaking on Candlewood Lake by Raymond Didomizio http://peteroberc.com/blog/?p=846&cpage=1#comment-7530 Raymond Didomizio Sat, 29 May 2010 13:29:39 +0000 http://peteroberc.com/blog/?p=846#comment-7530 I fish regularly at candlewood and occasionally get large brown trout.smallies are very common and yellow perch.occasional fat white perch at the lower 3/4 of the lake.wanted to blog about finding but not able to catch but followed a 2ft long bright orange gold fish-was hanging out with the other carp as it is from the same family.sorry no pics didnt have camera but 3 of us saw it and chased it with the boat trying to watch it.2 feet long bright orange carp/gold fish.location was lower part of lake above bear mt park heading north after long straight away is a wide cove to the left.a house is there.used to be an airplane red white and blue.that corner it hangs out in the shallows.this is bigger than the worlds largest gold fish shown online in a tank.guess it doesnt count as it is in the lake.someone likely let go and just grew very big.by the way.nice pictures!
